The Med-Warriors Experience

12 Dec 2021

In order to get my feet wet into the real world and have a sense of the real world from a software engineering perspective, I started in a group of eight other people in similar circumstances. Which is being told to build a website for a client, as well as my boss but in this case, was my professor. I was grouped into a team of eight people with different situations. Some had many time to focus on this project while others had prioritize other class since this course was seen as an easy A. Understandble, but no matter the irelevant issue that we face, we all agreed to make some time for this project.

In the beginning, we were running slow pace. Since the semester is split into 6 milestone, it wasn’t until the 3rd milestone that we actually started developing. Once the 4th milestone hit, our progress made a big jump. At this point, the team members was on a roll and started making suggestion on the website. Around this time however, was the midterms week where most of the courses started their exam. During this phase, our progress went on a declining rate but the quality of our progress was still improving. Ultimately, we made it through at the last milestone, which was the prime time of our progress since every little pieces of the project started coming together.

In the end, I’m very proud of the project that we created. It fitted with the requirement of our client and was unique compare to other. Truthfully, I wouldn’t continue working on this project due to other coursework. However It was a great opportunity to learn other student’s method of coding and techniques. Even though I wouldn’t continue working on this project, I defininitely want to collaborate with my team.
